Life has changed a lot in the past three months. I left Vlad, stopped drawing, writing, and even singing. That changed, too. I have drawn a few things lately (might upload in the near future), written quite a bit with quite a good bit of inspiration... and I've been singing with much more emotion than ever before. I no longer live alone, and might be moving into a better place in the near future. After all, my one-bedroom apartment is a bit too small. My (new) boyfriend, Brahm, is living with me, and he has half custody of his 3-year-old daughter. Now, if any of you know me, the most obvious thing about me is that I am not too good with kids. I have very little patience, and anxiety problems, and I'm terrified I'm going to mess them up because I'm not exactly the most idyllic person. However, this little girl loves me... and although I am still scared, I love her too.

As for everything else in life, I suppose it will go just fine, if I could ever work up the nerve to put myself on camera. I have been promising everyone, including myself, that I would start doing youtube videos, video game playthroughs-- but I have yet to even start filming. I am absolutely terrified of being on the Internet in ways that people can see me.

Oh well, though. I'm going to do it! I'm going to goth up and game!

Any support is greatly appreciated. I'll put up links to my channel when I start uploading. Anyone who wants to subscribe already is free to-- just look up Nina Crowlace.

I Can Explain.

1 min read
The reason I have done practically nothing in approximately a month is because I have started working a second job. I have also completely and utterly halted Zetty's story in favor of another. I will eventually come back, because I have once or twice before. Technically, the one I've posted here is her fourth reincarnation. The story needs a lot of work anyway.
Anyway, expect some concept art in the future. A friend and I are working on not just a story, but a TRPG based on the story. If you would like any more information, do tell me! When we flesh out the ideas and get them copyrighted, then I'll start putting a bunch of info out-- but in the meantime, keep an ear to the ground! We will be launching our idea on Kickstarter, and we will definitely have REWARDS for those who donate!

I decided to go on and throw this out there, considering that his name will make readers stumble, a bit. The new guy's name is Xevir (pronunciation: Shev-EER) and goes by Xev. The only thing you'll really learn about him in the next chapter is that Zetty is very attracted to him, and that he can feel history from the emotions of a place, especially in places where blood has been shed. He also has the tendency to read people's pasts when he meets them, making introductions awkward and one-sided.
And yes, when I finish the last version of Trat's picture, I will draw Xev. It is on my list.

Rules:

1. You must use your original OC's
2. Credit me and/or send me a link
3. Feel free to add any additional questions of your own to the quiz

First, chose one OC from the modern fantasy era. (This OC must preferably have a special ability.) Now that Trat (Zetty’s “Voice”) is introduced, and I have been feeling a strong, angry compulsion to make his thoughts known… here he is.

1. How old are you?
A: I suppose I was around 20 when Zetty found me. As for how long I’ve been around, I suppose I’ve been around for at least a millennia.

2. Where are you from?
A: There was a time when everything was dark. I lived in the mountains, and the only thing I had was a stack of parchment papers with notes. My human father taught me how to read them, and succumbed to illness not long after I turned seven. They were the legends passed down each generation, about my ancestor, and the one who put us here, in a world full of only humans.

3. What is your power?
A: I am a descendant of the dragon Ragors. I might not be able to assume the form, but I inherited his wings. Also, mental abilities run in my family. According to my father, my mother foresaw much of my life. I wonder if that’s why she named me after my ancestor.

4. What kind of occupation are you most likely to chose?
A: Zetty sure spoiled me… I haven’t had to lift a finger since I met her… but if I were to lose her, I wonder what I would do. *makes no move to answer question.*

5. Do you plan on raising a family?
A: Dragons and humans were never meant to mate. It always ends in doom for the mother. I don’t want children, knowing that whoever I deem fit to bear them will ultimately die.

6. What is your favorite subject in school?
A: I never had interest in this school nonsense. I learn languages, written and spoken, in order to keep up with the world. But don’t tell Zetty. She seems enamored with school and the potential to fit in with humans, if only for a while. It’s exciting to her.

7. What kind of people do you get along best with?
A: I don’t like people. In fact, I didn’t like Zetty when I met her, either. She became the only person I will ever trust or care about.

8. Have you ever dated anyone?
A: No. *makes no move to elaborate*

9. What do you find inspiring?
A: *is very quiet* This information will not be shared, right? *pauses* Zetty. End of discussion.

10. What is your favorite animal?
A: I like birds. When I fly, sometimes they’ll fly with me.

11. Are you laid-back or a control freak?
A: When it comes to myself, I have to keep very tight control, or else bad things will happen. Anything else, I try to be calm and serene. Being around Zetty makes that nearly impossible.

12. What instrument do you like best?
A: Before I met Zetty, I explored a lot. I even explored Japan. There, I found the koto, and the shakuhachi. Both are beautiful, and unique. Hearing their nostalgic sounds, I can’t help but be captivated. Perhaps one day, I can take Zetty there.

13. What is your special talent?
A: I don’t believe I have one.

14. How often do you go shopping, and what are you most often shopping for?
A: I have no need to shop.

15. Which is your favorite holiday?
A: Holidays in general are an annoyance, but modern Halloween is nice.

16. What is your favorite sport?
A: Personally, I wish they would bring back blood sports. Zetty told me about them, but I never got to see one.

17. What are your hobbies?
A: Flying. If I had a life, I wouldn’t have disappeared for centuries, you know.

18. Do you have any siblings?
A: I am an only child, which is obvious, due to the whole “mother died in childbirth” thing.

19. What would you do with one thousand dollars?
A: Nothing of interest, really. Just put it aside.

20. If you could go traveling anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A: I would go back to Japan, I think. I really hope it didn’t change over the years. The beauty, the regal nature…

21. Would you be more likely to participate in 'Survivor' or 'Project Runway'?
A: Both sound ridiculous.

22. If you were stranded on an island with one other person, who would it be?
A: Zetty. She and I could survive anything without challenge. Although, I must admit, it’s also more because she means so much to me… *looks startled that he said it aloud*

23. What is your first childhood memory?
A: My father reading the records of my ancestors to me.

24. If you could time travel, what year/ era would you go to?
A: I would go to the beginning of time, so that Zetty would not ever be alone again.

25. Do you have a favorite quote, saying or joke?
A: My father once said, “Pain cannot stop you from proceeding—only tell you that you’ve stopped.”

1. What are your nickname/s?
Um, I suppose Zetty is my only nickname. Not sure what it means as of now... or what it was in the beginning, or even if I have a real name.

2. Are there any nicknames you wish people called you?
Not really. I try to lay low. I had a following of people calling me The Destroyer-- and it fit relatively well, you know.

3. If you had to be stuck at one age for the rest of your life, how old would you be?
You're asking this of a person who has been the same age since the beginning of time.

4. What colour clothes do you like best?
Ah, I love this color that is called antique in this age. Especially when it comes to clothes from the era of opulence.

5. If you had a pet cactus, what would you name him/her?
Perhaps "Gryt" which means "pointed" or "prickly" in dragon-tongue.

6. Your most-hated movie?
I have only seen one movie, and it was pretty amazing. It was a musical, called Phantom of the Opera.

7. What do you think of 3D movies?
Such a thing exists? How was that founded by normal means?

8. Ever get motion sickness? (car, boat, aeroplane, elevator, etc)
No. I regularly would jump off of buildings and fly over cities. The wind on my face seems to have a calming effect on me.

9. So, your thoughts on elevators?
It made me very uncomfortable a few days ago, when I rode one for the first time. At first, I thought I was being pushed into a different Realm...

10. Have you ever Role Played?
If you count pretending to be a normal human for someone who you loved... I suppose so.

11. What's your favourite public holiday? (Birthdays don't count)
I particularly liked the dragon's Wingday... It was kind of like Valentine's Day, only with dragons. They would take human form and interact with the humans of the land. Of course, the humans were none the wiser... it was a single day of peace between the two species. A day of solace.

12. Best season of the year for you?
I always liked autumn. Even with the chill, it is always refreshing. The air is so crisp, that it feels like you're a knife when you fly.

13. Do you ever want to go to Antarctica?
Not much there to see, honestly. And yes, I say that from experience. If we're talking brutal cold, I prefer Russia. If we're talking adorable wildlife, I prefer the dragon's realm.

14. Have you ever had to stay in hospital overnight?
I am incapable of being injured, unless by Trat, for some unexplained reason.

15. Glasses: attractive, or a turnoff?
I don't see how it could be a turnoff, really. I have no real preference.

16. What kind of job do you respect the most? (Fire-fighters, doctors, people in the army, etc)
I suppose the people who study diseases and anomalies of the brain and body... Doctors, you call it.

17. Do you have a favourite flower?
Oh! In the Creation realm, there are these awesome flowers that will lean into your touch if you reach for them. They have this amazing color. Deep purple, with a rich royal blue spiral-- and then a stark white center. It has thorns, but when it leans to you, the thorns move, as if to welcome a hand. It's quite strange, but you can feel a kind of kinship with them. Perhaps I'm just crazy though. Been around too long.

18. Now for a manly question: do you enjoy driving? (Or think you will when you're able)
I certainly enjoyed driving carriages in ages past. These lumps of metal? I find them bulky, awkward, and undesirable.

19. What's one thing you never leave home without?
Trat. Does he count as a "thing"?

20. Batman. Sure, he saves lives and has a famous comic and all, but he has as many superpowers as you or I. Do you think he really counts as a superhero?
Bat... man? You said he has the same superpowers as us... what is your power?... Oh, I see. Well... Power doesn't dictate what a hero is. I have powers, obviously, but I am no hero. I am not that selfless. An eternity of saving the world? Give me a break! Trying to find my end is hard enough. However, a mere human can be a hero-- regardless of skills, and of powers. To reference the dragons' realm, only someone who is pure of heart can kill a dragon.

21. If you could become one pokemon, which one would it be?
Pokemon?

22. Write one thing about yourself you wouldn't tell your parents.
I don't know if I even had parents...

23. What do you think of when I say FIRE?
Trat. He always has this fire in his eyes...

24. What country would you like to visit right now?
Not so much a country as a realm. I've been thinking a lot about the dragons' realm-- as you could probably infer.

25. Do you think you'll ever end up in jail at some point in your life?
They would have to catch me and hold me down. Which will never happen. Between my abilities and Trat's protection, I will never be caged.

26. Do you have/plan to get any tattoos or piercings?
I remember a time when tattoos were the primary way of inducing a curse. Piercings, though... They were a way of declaring what social status you were. I steer away from both.

27. How many pets do you have?
If Trat counts, I have one.

28. What's your thoughts on OCs? (Original characters)
I'm not sure I have any thoughts on them. Not sure what they really are.

29. If you were in a position of power, what's the first thing you would do?
Several times in history, I had the opportunity to take over-- but knew that, in the end, my existence would make things complicated later on. I leave that kind of thing to the humans-- perhaps that's why, when I went to the dragons' realm, I came into power relatively quick. I was a oddity among other oddities.

30. List three turn-ons for you:
1.) humor
2.) a sense of chivalry
3.) the ability to make me feel alive

31. Now list three sure-fire turn-offs:
1.) cowardliness
2.) unexplainable hatred for things or people
3.) closedmindedness

32. Do you have any favourite faces to use online?
I suppose this one (makes a face of concentration).

33. Do you like trampolines?
They make having wings even more interesting, sometimes. I used one briefly the other day. It was fun.

34. If you saw a shooting star, would you wish on it?
I don't like to wish upon something that is dead. I would rather wish upon something alive and full of energy. I'm not talking sacrifices, really, but...

35. If you had a novel published, what would the title be?
Eternity's Clutch

36. What do you think of photos of yourself?
I don't believe any exist?

37. When was the last time you saw the sun rise?
Not sure.

38. So, what do you think of memes like this? Any reason in particular you take these?
They are interesting, and I am not sure why I subject myself to these questions...

39. There's only one female smurf. How do you think they reproduce?
What are these smurf things, and how many males are there in relation to the one female? That could have terrible implications...

40. What's one music group you think everyone should be into at the moment?
See, my favorite composer was Chopin, for the longest time... The other day, I became acquainted with this thing they call rock and metal. I much appreciate this band called Avenged Sevenfold-- but I found others that were amazing too.

41. Take a quick look at your fridge. What's on it right now?
A note from the housekeeper, saying that the fridge was stocked while I was out.

42. Who has it easier: boys, or girls?
Depends on who has the money or who has the looks. A rich man will have it easier than a poor man, and a beautiful man will have it easier than an ugly one... but if we're talking someone on equal footing (such as a rich, beautiful man and a rich, beautiful female), usually, the female has the upper hand for reasons I'm sure you can ascertain.

43. What's do you think the meaning of life is?
I have found no meaning so far.

44. Which is better: pirates or ninjas?
Pirates were certainly fun...

45. If you could change your hair colour, what would it be?
I used to adore women with curls of dark ebony... but I can't change myself.

46. How'd your first day at school go? Anything interesting happen?
I still intend to try this "school" thing. One day.

47. What's the best kind of chocolate?
I prefer dark chocolate. Especially home made and fresh.

48. Do you think you'll ever try drugs in your life?
I have no need to. I have enough bad ideas and impulses as it is.

49. How are you sitting while you type this? Comfortable?
I'm sitting rather formally, because habit. Once you leave, I'll probably slouch on the bed until Trat comes back from his morning flight.

50. Do you believe in ghosts, or any of the paranormal?
I sort of hope it exists... but the humans I've interacted with never came back to haunt me, and neither did my dragon friend Ragors, who died.

51. What's your favourite insult to call people?
Gryt. If you recall, I would name a cactus this. Because I don't like cacti, really, and the word is also used to describe a person who is needlessly hateful and hard to work with. It also insulted their intelligence very subtly. Dragons are all about subtlety.

52. Do you have any phobias or fears?
Not at all.

53. Who's your favourite family member?
I suppose the only person I ever felt a family bond for was Ragors. It was complicated.

54. How much money's in your wallet right now?
I have no need for a wallet. I can use Creation realm to create as much pocket change as I want, when I want it.

55. Mention some of the best memories you've ever had at school?
I'll be sure to tell you if I ever go to school.

56. What's your sleeping pattern like? Anything you'd change?
I will stay up for a day or two, and then will sleep for three full days and nights. Inconvenient, yes, but damn do I feel good when I wake up!

57. What's wrong with the next generation?
Clothing doesn't cover anything anymore. If there were warriors, I don't think it would be as much of a problem, because you needed things like that to master movements for battle before working with full dress on...

58. How many tabs and windows do you have open right now?
Tabs? Windows? I suppose just the one.

59. Is there any particular costume/cosplay you'd like to wear?
There was once this amazing masquerade ball in Paris, centuries ago, of course. The hostess had a venetian mask and the most amazing dress. It was made of satin the color of sapphires, and had emeralds woven into the trim, along with the lace and opera gloves that matched. I'll never forget it, as long as I live.

60. When something goes wrong, who's the first person you blame?
Myself, or perhaps Trat, depending on the situation.

61. What's your favourite musical instrument?
I like many instruments. However, the one I most like at the moment is this amazing object they call the electric guitar.

62. If you could make one animal extinct, which one would it be? Why do they deserve it?
Another thing about dragons' realm: the wildlife there may be cute, but it can be extremely annoying. There is one creature that is a harmless bug that makes enough noise to wake a family of dragons from hibernation from up to three miles away. They are hunted and killed for fun by children, especially dragons, who make a game out of who can torch the most without hurting any one or anything else.

63. Is the glass half empty, or half full?
It will be entirely empty, if only I could drink from it about now.

64. What do you have as your wallpaper right now?
I have an rented room. They would be mad if I changed the room.

65. Have you ever cross-dressed?
Once or twice, and it was quite an experience.

66. Which is more fun: being short, or tall?
I've been short all my life-- I can't change myself-- but I have Trat, who is very tall. So between us, I have the best of both. As for which is better, I think tiny people have more advantages.

67. Do you have any guilty pleasures?
I feel no shame or guilt for anything that gives me momentary reprieve. Plus, I'm not sure what I should be ashamed of-- I know no real normal people.

68. What's the last trading card game you played?
Trading card games? Like solitaire?

69. Are sixty-nine jokes still funny?
Why is a number funny? This "meme" thing has confused me!
